It’s a cliché but I always knew I wanted to be a psychologist. From a young age I wanted to talk to people and help them with their problems. Now as an adult, I am grateful I followed my heart as I honestly think I have the best job! It is a huge honour to be able to sit with someone who is willing to be vulnerable and hear their story. My approach is to first CONNECT with the person in front of me, then UNDERSTAND what brings you to therapy, and then work COLLABORITIVELY to help you feel EMPOWERED to take charge of your life, however that feels or looks for you.

I started my career working in adult mental health in community services. I supported adults with life-long and complex mental health conditions from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. I helped transition their supports over to the NDIS. Working closely with adults from all walks of life showed me how mental illness impacts so many essential aspects of life. I currently work with adolescents and their families at Headspace and absolutely love helping young people thrive at such a pivotal time in their life. I enjoy working closely with families as well, and to see growth and change that extends to the entire family unit.

I have helped people experiencing: anxiety, depression, gender identity issues, personality disorders, trauma, relationship difficulties, family violence, anger issues, substance abuse and beyond! There is no issue that is non-treatable. Everyone is welcome, labels and/or diagnoses is not required.

I have a special interest in helping people with disordered eating and body dissatisfaction and have completed trainings specific to eating disorders. I continue to develop my expertise in this area of treatment given the complexity of this area.

My therapeutic approach is dynamic and changeable. I will adapt to your needs. I use a combination of CBT, ACT, Psychodynamic and trauma-informed therapy to ensure you receive a tailored treatment. Complementary to these evidence-based therapies, my aim is to make therapy worth your while; that you walk away with something new, and along the way we get to know each other and can share a laugh. It won’t take long for you to find out about my obsession with Italian food and love of dogs, and I hope to get to know you and what brings you joy!

I am of the strong belief that we should be treating mental health, the way we treat physical health; that it should be accessible and normalised. I am passionate about breaking down any stigmas around seeking therapy and talking about mental health. I hope one day it is as unintimidating as talking about the weather! I hope I can help you feel at ease talking about whatever brings you to getting some help at this time in your life.

I look forward to meeting you.
