A New Star in Our Constellation: Meet Christina

Something is shifting in our sky!

After a season of quiet reconfiguration, where each of us in the Rainbow Muse Collective has been honouring our own rhythms, deepening our roots, and unlearning the urge to grow for growth’s sake, something new has been quietly blooming.

And we are finally ready to welcome a new star into our constellation of care.

This isn’t just growth; it’s becoming. Each new voice feels like its own pocket of magic, finding its place in a constellation built on radical difference and deep connection. Together we’re reimagining collective life with clarity, courage, and creative fire. And from this evolving sky, a brilliant new light has joined us

We’re so proud to welcome Christina Schmidt (she/her) to the Rainbow Muse Collective. She brings fierce love, deep integrity, and a practice rooted in decolonial, neuroaffirming, and culturally expansive care.

Read on for her words about what drew her here and how she’s walking this path with us.

Colour, care, Chenai and community— that’s what drew me to Rainbow Muse. And I’m so proud to now be part of this brilliant, radical collective.

I’m Christina (she/her/hers), a speech pathologist, a proud Black AuDHDer woman, and the founder of Free To Be Me Speech Therapy. My work is built on a foundation of embodied practice, cultural and neurodivergent affirming care and radical respect for the richness of lived experience. Every part of me - my identities, my passions, my ancestors, my culture - informs how I show up, and how I hold space for others to do the same.

I was drawn to Rainbow Muse not only for its vibrant visual identity (can we talk about those illustrations?!), but for its heartbeat. Its spirit. The unapologetic celebration of difference. The commitment to decolonial care. The joy, the gentleness, the justice. These are not just values I hold—they’re how I move through the world.

My practice is all about creating spaces where people can express themselves freely and fully—whether through words, movement, AAC, art, silence, or something in between. I believe in honouring all forms of communication and connection and in dismantling systems that tell us there’s only one “right” way to be.

Joining Rainbow Muse is a continuation of that path—a soft, strong step into deeper community, collective creativity, and shared liberation. I’m so excited to co-create with this collective of brilliant humans who, like me, believe in holding space with integrity, tenderness, and fierce love.

Thank you for welcoming me. I return the welcome, and I can’t wait to see how we bloom together.

With warmth and wild joy,

Just a gentle note to hold with you: While we’re so excited to be welcoming Christina into the Rainbow Muse Collective, she isn’t currently taking on new therapy clients. If you’d like to connect in the future, you can add your name to her waitlist here. As a collective, we each move at our own pace guided by care, capacity, and the kind of work that asks us to go slow and stay true. Every therapist in our constellation holds their own waitlist and way of working. Thank you for meeting us where we are, and for honouring the gentle, intentional way we choose to show up, for ourselves, for each other, and for our communities.
